Avar Consulting, Inc. (Avar) is a woman-owned small business (WOSB), and a Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in the state of Maryland. A policy research firm headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, Avar specializes in attitude-behavior research, survey research, program evaluation, technical assistance and training, data analysis/management, and IT support.

Since 2006, Avar has been providing a wide range of professional services in the areas of public health, education, social welfare, labor economics, refugee resettlement, veteran’s affairs, and transportation. Our clients include federal, state, and local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private corporations.

Inforum, or Interindustry Forecasting at the University of Maryland, was founded 53 years ago by Dr. Clopper Almon, now Professor Emeritus of the University. It is dedicated to improving business planning, government policy analysis, and the general understanding of the economic environment. Since its founding in 1967, Inforum has served government agencies and private sector entities interested in economic analysis facilitated by Inforum’s approach.
